Reapers to Petition the League?

After losing their second game in three nights in extra time, the Guelph Reapers had to shake their heads.

"We managed to go undefeated in regulation" GM Gandour stated. "While I can not fault my team for an amazing run in three tough matches, I do feel like we can not be proud coming out of three games undefeated in regulation with just 2 of a possible 6 points. I heard of this other league where you get a point for making OT, maybe I will petition the league."

The GM's comments aside, the Reapers have played much better then their 2 points would show. The team took the Rovers to overtime, a team that is 4 and 0 and favoured to win yet another championship.

The Reapers managed an convincing win over the Mounties the night before, and barely lost to the Stingers in OT, a loss that in part was due to a glitch in the lines submitted before the game that could not be helped.

Tonight the Reapers tests continue as the Vampyres visit. Calgary Vampyres are always a tough opponent, right up there with the Reapers. Tonight the Reapers have made a few changes in hopes to get more out of their squad. Out are Mike Peca and David Hale. Peca had not played many minutes as a fifth dressed Centre, and had no points and a weak faceoff percentage. Hale had been the teams only minus on the year as a minus 3 (no we are not counting Randy Jones since he was never dressed to play). Hale had an average of 17 mins a game, and was making some bad passes.

Into the lineup tonight come offensive minded dmen Aaron Johnson and Steve Eminger. The hope is to increase the potency of the Power play for the Reapers, and to add some depth on D with 7 dressed.

Reporting for your undefeated 1-2-0 Reapers,

Sal Trachan
